Aperture
Aperture controls the brighness of that light. smaller aperture for maximum depth of field. Everything from near foreground to distant backround is sharp. aperture gets smaller as f/1, f/1.4, f/2.8, f/4, .... f/32. The above picture has a larger aperture so tha subect is sharp and the background is faded.
Shutter speed
Shutter speed controls the length of time the image sensor is exposed to light. To capture a wind mill movement have a slow shutter speed. shutter speed increases as 2, 1 ,1/2, 1/4, 1/8 ,1/15, 1/30, .... 1/2000
